***************************

This was my mother's birthday present. Also enclosed was the Subsidiary school medical record (funny how schools in England worry about the child's health as well): sight and hearing fine, wears specially built-up shoes to correct c.a.t., age 6 1/2, height 118 cm (about 13% of normal English girls were taller than me), weight 21 kg (about 15% of normal English girls were heavier than me). Overral it seems I was a pretty average child.

It's funny. After all this time I've only grown 52 cm and 42 kg. Not much has changed really. In fact I wonder if anyone has ever known me/observed me as well as that school teacher did.
